April 2021 Newsletter

April 2021 Newsletter
Dear Inspiring Together families & supporters,

We have officially concluded our ten week online tutoring program for our third semester. We finished with a grand total of 267 tutoring sessions. We had 35 dedicated tutors and 30 enrolled foster students. We had an amazing experience tutoring these kids again and can't wait until next semester in Fall 2021! So far 2021 has been a very successful.

Along with our tutoring program, we will also conclude our "Friendship Club". This club has been a great opportunity to talk to and get to know students with disabilities. We learned a great deal about them and and their hobbies. One of the students got accepted into Georgia Tech and we wanted to share one of his blogs: We would love to restart this club again in the fall.

We are also concluding our Music program for this semester. We had 7 incredible instructors and 7 foster students. We will restart this program in the fall with online tutoring and the friendship club.

This summer we are hoping to start our sports camps so that we will be interacting and will have more in-person activities. with We cant wait to see the smiles on the kids faces in person during our tennis, basketball, and other sports camps.

I want to thank all our volunteers. Without your passion and commitment for a greater cause we will not be able to provide these wonderful and beneficial programs to the local foster youths.

Monthly Highlights
Meeting with Georgia CASA
Inspiring Together got an amazing opportunity to speak with Jen King, Executive director of  Georgia CASA. Our student and adult board delivered a presentation to Georgia CASA. We presented what we have done as a team in the past and current program such as our sports camps and online tutoring, as well as our plans for the future which include restarting sports camps and a singing initiative. We will be working with National and GA CASA to expand our programs within GA and out of GA. We are extremely thankful and fortunate to have gotten a opportunity to talk to Jen King. Kudos to our student board for putting together and executing this meeting successfully!

About Inspiring Together

Inspiring Together Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization in the state of Georgia that was founded in 2018 to provide extra-curricular opportunities for young people placed in foster care or from low-income families. Our goal is to give these disadvantaged youth, important enrichment activities, that because of family or financial circumstances, they otherwise could not take part in.

We also want to provide them with a sense of community and belonging, since young people in these situations often do not have the family support that so many of us are blessed with.
